Job positions at Tallinn University

Tallinn University is seeking for full time associate professors in Chinese Studies (1 position) and Southeast Asian Studies (1 position) with initial appointment of up to 5 years, see the official job announcement here: http://www.tlu.ee/en/personnel-office/Vacancies/Academic-job-offers/Associate-professors

In the field of Southeast Asian studies candidates with teaching and research focus on contemporary societies and politics are accepted. The successful candidate will have a PhD in social sciences such as geography, anthropology, sociology, political science, development studies, urban studies. He/she must be conducting ongoing research in Southeast Asia in one of the following or related areas: issues related to spatialities, mobilities, nation, states, ethnicity, borders, power, (geo)politics, identity politics (including education), civil society, political ecology and environment, urban issues. Experience in drawing, managing and participating in collaborative research projects is an advantage.

In the field of Chinese studies candidates with teaching and research focus on contemporary societies and politics are accepted. The successful candidate will have a PhD in social sciences such as geography, anthropology, sociology, political science, development studies, urban studies. He/she must be conducting ongoing research in China, have relevant publications and be proficient in Mandarin.
